Sensors used in a wide variety of facilities and fragile or hazardous environments will be significantly enhanced through the use of A-Metrics Transducers. Detection of Pressure Gradients, Acoustic Waves and Temperature Changes would reach a new level of sensitivity and accuracy. A sensor membrane consisting of selected organic or inorganic materials could deflect with incident near or far infrared radiation.
The A-Metrics transducer combined with commercially available membrane materials has been shown to demonstrate sensitivity to temperature changes of 0.001 degrees Celsius.
