University of Exeter Profiles A-Metrics Device Trials

EXETER, DEVON, UK (June 28, 2007) — The University of Exeter in Great Britain has published the story of their involvement in testing and verifying the sensitivity of the A-Metrics transducer. In conjunction with the National Physical Laboratory (NPL) in Teddington, Middlesex, UK, they tested the device with a very accurate laser interferometer which showed the device to be able to measure displacements with a sensitivity of 0.4 angstroms, or four one-hundredths of a nanometer.
